Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Compressor Mechanic to maintain, repair, and troubleshoot natural gas and industrial compressors used in oilfield operations. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with reciprocating and rotary screw compressors and is comfortable working in the field under various conditions. The ideal location for candidates is the Midland and Odessa area, however, our Compressor Mechanics work across the Permian Basin. Housing is only provided when travel is required for jobs.


Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair compressors, engines, and related components

  • Perform routine maintenance, overhauls, and troubleshooting on reciprocating and rotary screw compressors

  • Test and calibrate equipment to ensure proper functionality

  • Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics

  • Work with piping, valves, and fittings associated with compressor systems

  • Maintain detailed service records and reports

  • Follow all safety protocols and ensure compliance with industry regulations

  • Collaborate with other technicians and departments to ensure efficient operations


Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of natural gas compressors, engines, and auxiliary equipment

  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems

  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, hand tools, and power tools

  • Familiarity with OEM specifications and maintenance procedures

  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics

  • Certifications in compressor maintenance or diesel mechanics are preferred

  • Must be able to work in outdoor environments and travel to job sites as needed


Requirements

  • 5 Years proven experience as a compressor mechanic in the oilfield industry

  • Must provide your own basic tools, we will provide any specialty tools needed

  • Valid driver’s license

  • Proven experience on Waukesha and Cat engines
