EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Pumpers / Lease Operators are responsible for operating and maintaining power pumps and auxiliary equipment used in oil production. Their primary focus is optimizing pump settings to ensure maximum production efficiency. This includes adjusting pressure, density, rate, and concentration, as well as managing the flow of oil between storage tanks and separating natural gas from oil. They also monitor the cost-effectiveness of operations and perform essential maintenance tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor control panels to ensure proper pressure, density, rate, and concentration during pumping operations.
Operate engines and pumps to shut off wells and direct oil flow into storage tanks based on production schedules.
Start compressors and divert oil from storage tanks to recover natural gas.
Operate valves to re-pressurize wells and force oil to the surface.
Supervise oil pumpers and workers engaged in oil production.
Perform routine maintenance on vehicles, equipment, and repair gas and oil meters.
Assemble pipes, attach pumps and hoses to wellheads, and operate high-pressure pumping equipment.
Drive trucks to transport pumping equipment, chemicals, and fluids.
Control equipment to perform tasks like acidizing, cementing, and fracturing wells.
Mix acids, chemicals, and cement as required for specific jobs.
Physical Demands:
Sit for extended periods and walk on hard, uneven, or wet surfaces.
Perform tasks requiring manual dexterity, such as grasping, pinching, and applying pressure.
Hear and understand detailed communications, detect subtle changes in sound.
Reach, climb, balance, kneel, stoop, and crouch in varied work environments.
Lift and move objects up to 20 pounds, push/pull equipment and materials.
Operate trucks and power equipment, including backhoes, dump trucks, skid steers, and jackhammers.
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment, adhering to safety standards.
This position requires physical endurance, technical proficiency, and the ability to work in demanding environments while maintaining a focus on safety and operational efficiency.
Must be located in Big Lake, TX or surrounding area.
